Indian Director, writer, actor  Gaurav Gautam, born Rehli –Sagar District of Madhya Pradesh, India, August 19th, 1987, began his career in acting turn direction and graduated to filmmaking & cinema direction, he have one of a small group of Young Indian Directors who are working as revolutionary filmmakers.

In December 2013 his debut Short Film - The Sunflower is much appreciated by The Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem , the Rank & Title Of Grand Prior for Thailand and Dame Grand Cross of Justice O.S.J., Malta ( Knights of Malta) appreciation  with His Royal Excellency Crown Prince Jorge and Sir Dr. David Cambridge Christner, Born to the Royal Chakri Dynasty of Thailand, Mom Luang Rajadarasri Jayankura is the Great Great Granddaughter of His Majesty King Rama IV of Thailand, Honorary Consul Republic of Kosovo Her Royal Excellency MOM LUANG RAJADARASRI JAYANKURA 'THE PRINCESS' – KINGDOM OF THAILAND

In 2014, Pandit Gautam Co- directed the Monsoon Hindi feature film to Suzad Iqbal Khan with Maker’s of Maa Tujhe Salaam, Nehle pe dehla. Right now, Gautam working on his own International feature film project as Debut Feature Director with Indi-Hollywood peoples from OSCAR winning filmmakers.

He belongs to Bhopal as Home Town (the city of lakes & heart of the India), musically belongs to in gurushishya parampara the Thakur Brothers Balaghat - Gharana of Hindustani classical music Madhya Pradesh.  Successfully Completed film graduate specialization diploma in Film making & Cinema Direction from Asia’s  renowned - Digital Academy - The Film School, India Year 2012 under Mr.Raaghav Dar (Maker of My Friend Pinto & Co-Director of Guru) FTII. He got special sync. sound training from Mr.Manish Pingle (Sync Sound Engineer of 4 oscar winning film LIFE OF PI)

eaRly life-
Gaurav was born in Rehli, Sagar District of Madhya Pradesh in well reputed down to earth Bhargava Brahmin family to Mr.Shambhu Nath Gautam. Grandson of 'Sahitya-Ratna' Pt.Shri Raamcharanlal Sharma, his inspiration in Hindi Literature his Grand-father.

 His father is Class -1 Forest Officer in State, a wildlife specialist who worked with Dr.Salim Ali - Anthropologist (World's Renowned Bird Scientist). His father also got Prestigious Medal of Honor by Governor of Madhya Pradesh State for Brave Services in Forest Dept. for Pioneering works in Conservation of Wildlife areas, Joint Forest Management, effective control over illicit trade, minning, felling & poaching.

Gaurav was initiated into acting by his father. He also received workshops from  Late Habib Tanveerji (Backstage), Late Vibha Mishra, Vinod Vishwakarma, Ashok Mishra, and later from Aalok Chatterjee (NSD-GOLD MEDALIST), Mukul Naag (NSD), Sunil Chauhan (NSD), Arvind Gaud (Delhi), Ramesh Khanna –Delhi, Balwant Thakur (Jammu). He worked with so many India's renowned Personalities from Film, Television & Stage. He did more than 12 Years Hindi theater at all over. 

Gaurav started learning Basics of Indian Stage & Theatre Culture at the very tender age under Renowned Dramatist Gurudev K.G. Trivedi at Bhopal. His First play on stage as a Sainik when he was just only 4 Years old, then second play on stage as a King Chhatrapati Shivaji when he was 12 Years Old (even the whole 20 Minutes dialogues – costume drama on Shivaji was directed by him) it was surprise for audience.

Third play as an actor on the stage of Jawahar Bal Bhawan at Bhopal was ‘Bolta Gadha’ under direction famous Hindi Dramatist Mr. K.G. Trivedi , when he was just 13 yrs old. These 3 Plays changed the life of Gaurav towards arts & culture.

Year 2000, he started learning Hindustani Classical Music (Instrumental) under Thakur Bandhu of Balaghat Gharana Madhya Pradesh- Masterji Sanjay Pratap Singh Thakur, Masterji Rajendra Pratap Singh Thakur & Ram Pratap Singh Thakur at the age of 14-15yrs. 

He also worked as Compare/Host/Emcee/Stage Anchor/Voice-Over Artist & Radio-Video Jockey

 

 HIS INTERESTS- Travelling, Acting, Reading, Writing, Film-making, Social Work, Playing Musical Instruments, Watching Movies, Singing, Painting, Sword Fighting, Photography (Specially Wildlife), Horse Riding, Table Tennis, Football, Badminton, Gardening, Planting Tress & Nature Conservation, Cooking & so on.
